Has anyone else had the sensation that their interoception is pulsing on first waking? It's weird! It feels like everything's there - body, pain etc, then it's gone for a moment, then it's back, and so on. It usually passes within 15 minutes.
I can't figure out what this is! I associate interoception with the anterior insular cortex but can't figure out why it would pulse!
Would love to get other people's take on this!
